Tap to Pay
Tap to pay is the newest Arc feature, giving transit riders across the Edmonton region (Edmonton, Beaumont, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, St. Albert, Strathcona County and soon Leduc) the option to pay for transit by directly tapping a physical or digital credit or debit card on an Arc validator.
Just remove your device or card from your wallet or phone case, tap the validator and go! Once you’ve reached
your destination, tap the Arc validator with your payment method while exiting to cap your fare.
If you prefer, you can continue to use your Arc card.
Make sure to use the same payment method every time to get the best daily or monthly fare rate. Note that
physical and digital versions of the same card are recognized as two separate payment methods by the tap to
pay system. Pick one payment method and stick with it!
